The Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of San Francisco, or LJYE, is a performing group of talented musicians ages ten to 18. Their repertoire features Latin jazz classics and original compositions at a level that has landed them gigs at the San Jose Jazz Festival, the KCSM Jazz Festival, KGO Radio, Yerba Buena Gardens, SF Museum of Modern Art, Paramount's Great America and the world-renown jazz club, Yoshi’s. The LJYE has shared the stage with legendary performers such as the great Cuban bassist, Cachao; piano virtuoso Chuchito Valdes; Latin jazz heavyweights Poncho Sanchez and Clare Fischer; and the Grammy Award-winning Spanish Harlem Orchestra. The LJYE mission is to preserve the traditions of Latin jazz and Afro-Cuban music by teaching it to youth and to create role models for aspiring student musicians. The LJYE was chosen as one of the top youth bands in Northern California in the 2004 YouthQuake competition and won First Place (Youth Music) in Carnaval San Francisco in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. The Ensemble is honored to be Youth Artists-in-Residence at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Gardens Festival since 2005.

In 1990 Mr. Magallon, found the Mariachi Colima in the city of Oakland California of which he is proprietor, and its present musical director. With his own musical adjustments, Javier, next to his Mariachi Colima, at the moment he is the exclusive mariachi of the Mexican Folkloric Ballet of Mr. Carlos Moreno, they accompany and it to all presentations, including its annual function of " Christmas in Mexico".

Grupo Samba Rio performs the irresistible rhythms and dance of Brazilian samba, in true Rio de Janeiro Carnaval style. A featured participant in San Francisco Carnaval since 2006, Grupo Samba Rio offers the most authentic samba to be found anywhere in North America.Modeled after the traditional samba schools of Rio, the group is led by renowned Brazilian percus-sionist Mestre Jorge Alabê, and performs regularly throughout the Bay Area under Mestre Jorge’s direction.A Grupo Samba Rio stage show or parade features a battery (“bateria”) of 20 or more drummers performing intricate and exciting samba arrangements, accompanied by dancers costumed in daz-zling Carnaval regalia. Smaller versions of the ensemble are available as befit the occasion and need.One specialty of the group is a small ensemble with lighter percussion, guitar, mandolin, and vocals, performing the “pagode” style of song and rhythm beloved in the bars and backyard parties of Rio.
